Privacy Policy
Bulk Field Permissions (FLS) ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that helps Salesforce administrators view and bulk-edit Field-Level Security settings across permission sets. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is used.
What data the extension accesses
- Your Salesforce session cookie (
sid) for the Salesforce domain of the active browser tab. - Salesforce metadata retrieved via the Salesforce REST API, including object and field definitions, permission sets, and field-level security settings for your org.
How this data is used
The session cookie is used only to make authenticated calls to your own Salesforce org's REST API, as you — the currently logged-in user. This is the same access you already have through Salesforce Setup; the extension does not use any separate login, credentials, or third-party authentication.
The extension does not track browsing history, does not read data on non-Salesforce websites, and does not use the accessed data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose unrelated to displaying and editing field permissions in your org.
Where data is stored
Nothing is stored. All data lives only in the memory of the browser tab while the extension is open and is discarded when the tab is closed. The extension does not use any backend server, database, or analytics service — all requests go directly from your browser to your own Salesforce instance.
Third parties
No data is shared with, sold to, or transmitted to any third party.
The only network requests the extension makes are to the Salesforce
domains you are actively working in
(*.salesforce.com, *.my.salesforce.com, *.lightning.force.com, *.my.salesforce-setup.com).
Permissions explained
- tabs — used to detect which Salesforce org/domain the active tab belongs to, and to open the extension's management page.
- cookies — used to read the existing Salesforce session cookie so the extension can call Salesforce's API as the logged-in user.
- host permissions (Salesforce domains) — required to call Salesforce's REST API directly from the extension.
